Windows 10

Windows 10 is a personal computer operating system developed and released by Microsoft. It was released on July 29, 2015, and is the successor to Windows 8.1. Windows 10 includes features such as the return of the Start menu, virtual desktops, and Cortana, a virtual assistant. It also includes improvements to security and performance, and support for new technologies such as holographic displays and biometric authentication. Windows 10 is available in several editions, including Home, Pro, Education, and Enterprise.

Here are a few tricks you can try in Windows 10:

  • Snap Windows
  • Virtual Desktops
  • Keyboard Shortcuts
  • Start Menu
  • Task Manager

Snap Windows

Snap windows to the sides or corners of the screen: To snap a window to the left or right side of the screen, click and hold the title bar and drag it to the left or right side of the screen. The window will take up half of the screen. You can also snap windows to the corners of the screen by dragging them to the corners.

Virtual Desktops

Use virtual desktops: Windows 10 includes a feature called virtual desktops, which allows you to create multiple virtual desktop environments on your computer. This can be useful if you need to work with multiple applications at the same time, as you can spread them out across multiple desktops. To create a new virtual desktop, click the Task View button on the taskbar (it looks like two rectangles stacked on top of each other) and then click the “New desktop” button.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Use keyboard shortcuts: There are many keyboard shortcuts in Windows 10 that can help you save time and be more productive. For example, you can use the Windows + D shortcut to show the desktop, or the Alt + Tab shortcut to switch between open applications. You can find a complete list of Windows 10 keyboard shortcuts by pressing the Windows + X key and selecting “Keyboard shortcuts” from the menu that appears.

Start Menu

Customize the Start menu: The Start menu in Windows 10 can be customized to show the tiles and apps that you use most frequently. To add a tile to the Start menu, right-click the app in the Start menu and select “Pin to Start.” To remove a tile from the Start menu, right-click it and select “Unpin from Start.” You can also resize tiles and rearrange them by clicking and dragging them.

Task Manager

Use the Task Manager: The Task Manager is a powerful tool that can help you manage the apps and processes running on your computer. To open the Task Manager, right-click the taskbar and select “Task Manager” from the context menu. From here, you can see a list of all the apps and processes running on your computer, as well as information about their CPU, memory, and network usage. You can use the Task Manager to close apps or processes that are causing problems, or to see which apps are using the most resources.

  • Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app, where you can customize various aspects of your system.
  • Use the Windows key + S shortcut to open the search bar, which allows you to quickly find files, programs, and other content on your system.
  • Use the Windows key + R shortcut to open the Run dialog box, which allows you to quickly launch programs and perform other tasks by entering commands.
  • Use the Windows key + L shortcut to lock your computer. This is a quick and easy way to protect your computer when you need to step away from it.
  • Use the Windows key + H shortcut to open the Share charm, which allows you to quickly share content with other devices and apps.
  • Use the Windows key + D shortcut to quickly show the desktop. This is useful if you have a lot of windows open and want to get to the desktop quickly.
  • Use the Windows key + E shortcut to open File Explorer, which allows you to browse and manage the files and folders on your system.
  • Use the Windows key + P shortcut to open the Project menu, which allows you to control how your desktop is displayed on external displays.
  • Use the Windows key + G shortcut to open the Game bar, which allows you to record gameplay, take screenshots, and access other gaming-related features.

I hope these tips are helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.
